Welcome to Criminal Justice Operations
Course Descriptions:
The Criminal Justice Operations Program and classes are designed to introduce the students to the related fields within the criminal justice system. The program will include a combination of academic studies and practical “hands-on” skills development, supplemented by guest speakers and related field trips.
Principles of Public Service (Freshmen/Sophmores)
This course provides new criminal justice students with the competencies related to public service employment by assisting in the development of employability skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for success and advancement in a wide range of public service related careers.

CJ Operations I: (Sophomores)
This course is designed as an introduction to the Courts, Law Enforcement and Corrections as they relate to the Criminal Justice System. Learning will include career opportunity assessments, employability skills and the development of basic interpersonal and general communication skills directly relating to the CJ field.

CJ Operations II (Juniors)
This course will build upon the learning competencies of CJ Operations I and will introduce the student to the various academic and practical skills directly related to Law enforcement and correctional operations, administration and related areas.

CJ Operations III (Seniors)
This course will build upon the learning competencies of CJ Operations I & II and will introduce the student to specialized competencies within the Law Enforcement and Correctional Career fields relating to crime detection & prevention, preliminary & follow-up investigations, forensic science and related areas.
