Business Plan ProjectUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).

This project will be completed in four phases with a partner.

The FIRST PHASE will be completed by October 10 (after we complete Chapter 5) and will involve creating a business plan for a company you and your partner choose to create. The company can take any form and legal structure, it can offer either goods or services, and it can be a franchise or not. The plan will contain the seven basic elements of a business plan described on page 110 of the text book and also included on this site in the Course Documents section in the left margin. The marketing, management & staffing, and financial statements sections of the plan will remain vacant (but will be occupied by a placeholder page) until the second, third, and fourth phases of the project.

The SECOND PHASE of the project will complete the marketing portion of the plan. The due date for this section will be upon our completion of Chapter 9.

The THIRD PHASE of the project will complete the management & staffing portion of the plan. The due date for this section will be upon our completion of Chapter 10.

The FOURTH PHASE of the project will complete the financial statements portion of the plan. The due date for this section will be upon our completion of Chapter 12.

NOTE: ASSIGNMENT RUBRIC IS ATTACHED.

Entrepreneur's SymposiumsUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
We will host four Entrepreneur's Symposiums in our school auditorium. These symposiums will be topic-focused with panels consisting of local business leaders and entrepreneurs.

We have two sections of Business & Entrepreneurship Principles classes. Each will act as Symposium host on an alternating basis. We will host one Symposium per nine-week session. The Symposium host will appoint interviewers from the class who will represent both classes and ask questions of the Symposium panel members relating to the topic.

We will open these Symposiums to attendance by the student body.
