| When you enter the classroom, take your seat and begin working on the Bell Ringer. It will be a quotation posted on the whiteboard. In your journal (composition book), write:
- the date - the quotation - your interpretation of the quote - your comments about the quote (agree/disagree & why)
You are responsible for these entries whether you attend class that day or not. The quotes are posted on this site under the class documents link.
I will collect and grade journal on exam days. Grades will be based on legibility, coherency, and adherence to assignment parameters. You are absolutely entitled to your own views of these quotations; you are not being graded on whether I agree with your point of view or not. | | | | + Write a 500-word essay discussing racial segregation in the United States.
